Rosemary M. Shafack, PhD

Rosemary is a holder of a BA, LIS, PG Certificate in Library Management and PhD in Library and Information Science. She is the Director of the University of Buea Library and Information Services and an Associate Professor of LIS, teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programmes of the Faculty of Education of the University of Buea. She has been the IFLA Africa Section secretary from 2012 to 2014 and chair for the same organization from 2014 and her term of office in this position ends August 2019 as chair. She is one of the leaders of the IFLA Leadership programme first cohorts and is a trainer for the IFLA, ALP and BSLA. She is a recipient of some awards worthy of note is the Award of Female Academic Excellence by the Ministry of Higher Education of Cameroon in 2017. She is married with children.
