#GivingTuesday 2021: Building possibilities through your generosity

Did you know that sub-Saharan Africa has the highest rates of education exclusion and that over one-fifth of children between the ages of about 6 and 11 are out of school?  

Did you also know that access to library services acts as a stop-gap against illiteracy by facilitating informal self-education for adults and serves as a catalyst for out of school children?

As the continental library association, it is our goal to support as many children, young adults and other marginalized groups in the society to receive formal or informal education through innovative library services.  

We are convinced that you share in this dream too and that is why we always reach out to you periodically through fundraising as our critical tool to achieve a collaborative dream.

November 30, 2021 is #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving, celebrated by nonprofits, corporations, and donors alike! Your donations will form part of a pool dedicated to empowering library and information workers in Africa through free and heavily discounted capacity building and exchange programmes to help bring modern and transformative library services to library users and their communities, especially children, young adults and other marginalized groups.
