News in brief
Libraries as Gardens is a creative project that seeks to geolocate and map, on a global scale, the before, during and after of the coronavirus lockdown, through personal audio recordings of the stories of people about their libraries and gardens that they tell in their homes during the pandemic. The recordings are about their books and memories about public gardens that they visited before the pandemic. The recordings are transferred in an online map and in augmented audio walks with mobile devices, through an app for free available in all participating cities and towns – for the future, to be heard in the gardens when they open again.
It requires that librarians send two recordings made in a home library – reading space, during the lockdown or before the end of June 2020.
1. A first recording (by using the links above or your own device) of a memory of the last public garden you have visited or a public garden nearby your house and location
Voice recorder online (records/ downloads as mp3 and allows editing on your computer)

2. A second recording of you reading a short text in your personal library – reading space at home. Read out and record with a photo of you, your home library and location.
