AfLIA Open Days 2022

The library and information science sector continues to grow and requires that practitioners in that field possess a multitude of skills in technology and for engaging with people (users, stakeholders and policy makers). AfLIA is dedicated to being the platform that actively pursues the interests of the African library and information science community while providing the relevant capacities that keep practitioners relevant in the 21st century.

The African Library and Information Associations and Institutions (AfLIA) therefore invites all to attend AfLIA 2022 Open Days which will happen between 14th February 2022 and 3 March 2022.

The virtual Open Days are designed to feature activities that will help participants connect with other library and information professionals on the continent, share ideas on some key activities to promote the African LIS sector, understand the exclusive benefits of AfLIA’s institutional and individual membership and to demonstrate how an institution or individual can easily become a member of AfLIA.

The 2022 AfLIA Open Days are uniquely set up to host library and information professionals in Africa and the Diaspora according to their special interests, language or the type of institution they work in, including National Libraries, National Library Associations, Library Consortia, Academic Libraries, Library Education and Training Institutions, Public Libraries, Community Libraries, School Libraries, Research and Special Libraries, Galleries, Archives and Museums.
