Invitation to contribute to AfLIA Blog – the African Library Vibes

Are you a blogger or prolific writer with interest in library matters, looking for wider readership? Do you have some great content that you would like to share with readers in the Library and Information Science world? How about an interesting story or event that was organized by your library, would you want the world to read, know and discuss it?

AfLIA, the Library Association for Africa, has some great news for you!

AfLIA wishes to introduce to all, – the African Library Vibes. This is an online space set up with the primary aim of providing an international forum where authors and readers within the LIS sector, especially in Africa, can converge, interact and share knowledge for the promotion and development of LIS in the continent and beyond.

At this time, we are accepting guest posts from authors such as yourself for publishing on African Library Vibes. The Vibes will feature a stimulating and interesting blend of stories, practical experiences, debates, research findings, interactive content and discussions from across the Library ecosystem, especially in Africa.

Posts can be directly or indirectly related to any of the topics below;

  • General news about Libraries (Services, Activities, Events, Partnerships/Collaborations etc.)
  • Library and Information Science Advocacy
  • Open Access, Open Education Resources and Open Data
  • Technology trends in Libraries
  • Libraries and Community Impact
  • Embedded and Entrepreneurial Librarianship
  • Contributions towards SDGs and the AU Aspirations
